Nickola Dannels selected to serve on Canyon Vista Medical Center Board of Trustees

Canyon Vista Medical Center (CVMC) announced Nickola “Nickie” Dannels, BSN, RN, has been selected to serve on the hospital’s Board of Trustees.
“We are thrilled to welcome Nickie to the Board of Trustees,” shared Ruth Quinn, Board of Trustees Chair. “Her expertise in the nursing profession, passion for caring for patients, and dedication to educating future nurses and healthcare professionals will enhance our board's community perspective and reach and enrich our vital partnership with Cochise College.”
Nickie has lived in the Sierra Vista community her entire life, raised her family here, and is an active supporter of multiple local charities. She is a Program Coordinator and Instructor at Cochise College for Medical Professions, providing a vital link between Cochise College and the hospital. She has worked in various nursing roles for 20 years, including working at the Sierra Vista Regional Heath Center, as an office manager for a local physician, and as a teacher.
“I am honored and blessed to be given this opportunity,” said Mrs. Dannels, “The health of our community is a passion of mine, and I am excited to be part of this great team of community leaders.”
Nickie Dannels assumes her role on July 1, 2024 for a three year term. CVMC’S Board of Trustees meet monthly and are charged with quality of care and patient safety in the hospital, as well as developing and promoting community relationships. Board members are allowed to serve up to 12 years.
