Fadi Fahad, MD selected to serve on Canyon Vista Medical Center Board of Trustees

Canyon Vista Medical Center (CVMC) announced Fadi Fahad, MD has been selected to serve on the hospital’s Board of Trustees.
“We are so pleased to have Dr Fahad join the CVMC board,” said Shaun Philips, chief executive officer (CEO) of CVMC. “With his boundless energy and focus on clinical excellence, he will help guide us to not only grow cardiology services but improve all patient care here in Sierra Vista and all of Cochise County.”
Dr. Fahad is an interventional cardiologist who is employed by Sierra Vista Medical Group, the medical practice of CVMC. Dr. Fahad was born in Iraq, raised in Canada and studied human biology at the University of Toronto, while also playing volleyball and soccer. The majority of his medical school training was spent in Brooklyn, NY, followed by residency and fellowship training in Albany, NY. He completed training as an interventional cardiologist at the University of Connecticut prior to coming to Sierra Vista in 2021, to specifically help build out the cardiology program at CVMC. He is an active member and leader on the Medical Staff and provides a valuable clinical perspective on any patient safety and quality questions that the board oversees.
“I joined the board to effect change at a systems level,” shared Dr. Fahad, “and to learn how to provide effective and efficient health care to Cochise County residents.”
Dr. Fadi Fahad assumed his role on January 1, 2024. He is completing a partial term that ends in 2025 and will be eligible for reelection to a full term at that time. CVMC’S Board of Trustees meet monthly and are charged with quality of care and patient safety in the hospital, as well as developing and promoting community relationships. Board members are allowed to serve up to 12 years.
