CVMC's Director of Environmental Services wins Prestigious Diamond Award

Canyon Vista Medical Center is proud to announce that Diana Jackson, Director of Environmental Services, has been awarded the 2024 Diamond Award, recognizing her as a top-performing director across HHS. This prestigious award highlights Diana’s outstanding leadership, dedication, and the significant improvements she has made to Environmental Services (EVS) at Canyon Vista Medical Center.

Since joining HHS in December 2022, Diana’s leadership has transformed Environmental Services (EVS) at Canyon Vista Medical Center. Her impact was immediate—within just one month, EVS rose to the 59th percentile in HCAHPS cleanliness scores, a record high at the time. She continued this upward trajectory, closing 2023 with an annual top-box score of 76.4, and further improving in 2024 with a year-to-date score of 79.2.

Diana’s leadership is not just about metrics, it’s about people as well. She has improved staff retention, cutting hourly turnover by half compared to last year, and strengthened relationships across the hospital. Under her guidance, EVS earned an outstanding 9.05 customer satisfaction score, reflecting the strong partnerships she has built with hospital leadership and her unwavering commitment to excellence.

Diana’s exceptional leadership has left a lasting impression on her colleagues, including Tiffany Birdwell, Vice President of Operations, who nominated her for the award.
