iOur Cardiopulmonary Services Department is dedicated to providing quality, competent, and cost effective inpatient and outpatient professional care with the highest respect for life and dignity at every stage of the human experience. Our patient scope includes newborns, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatrics who require cardiac and/or respiratory, diagnostic or therapeutic procedures for optimal physiological maintenance of the cardiac and respiratory systems.
Procedures performed by our highly qualified staff of licensed Respiratory Care Practitioners and Registered Nurses include:
Patient and family education about disease processes are provided with written instructions and verbal communications. All licensed Respiratory Care Practitioners are required to maintain current certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and STABLE (A special neonatal training program). Electrocardiograph (EKG) technicians are required to obtain certification as a Respiratory Care Assistant or EKG Technician and are BLS certified. The Cardiopulmonary Services department serves our patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
